This work-in-progress clay render presents a Black Templars-inspired Light Cruiser based on Andrea1969’s original concept from the Warhammer 40K universe. The project focuses on hard-surface spacecraft design, exploring layered mechanical construction, gothic architectural elements, and the monumental visual language characteristic of Imperial warships.

Particular attention was given to silhouette development, structural composition, armor integration, weapon-system placement, and the balance between engineering functionality and cathedral-inspired aesthetics. The study investigates how large-scale mechanical forms can create a believable grimdark spacecraft while preserving visual clarity and proportion.

This clay presentation highlights the modeling stage of the project, showcasing form development, structural refinement, and surface detailing before materials, texturing, lighting, and final rendering.
